composires anaiyses caiculated for Dipole Pattern events observed
over Tropical Atlantic. In particular, the pre- to rainy-season
months, during the positive phase of Dipole (warm SST anomalies
over North Basin and cold SST anomalies over South Atlantic Basin)
are associated with manifestations of precipitation below normal
in most states that composed the northern and eastern (except
Sergipe, Alagoas e Bahia) sectors of NEB. On the other hand,
during the negative phase of Dipole (cold SST anomalies over North
Basin and warm SST anomalies over South Atlantic Basin) it was
observed a widespread of precipitation above normal in entire NEB.
In the negative phase, the region containing TSM22g°C (favorable
to deep convection) and the confluence axis of the meridional wind
at surface, positioning in the South Equatorial Atlantic, forined
the proinising conditions that sustaining ITCZ over south of the
equator (explaining the precipitation above normal observed in the
NEB). However, during the positive phase, these conditions was
observed over North Equatorial Atlantic and the ITCZ stayed
anchoraged in the north of the equator (explaining the
precipitation below of normal observ.",
